This hotel started as a 5 star review but over the course of 24 hours has made it down to a 2 star review due to the poor service this hotel offers.
The hotel is in a great location. Waking distance to Central Park, and central for getting around Manhattan. The entrance is lovely with lots of marble and beautiful décor. I arrived at 10am and they already had a room ready for me which was much appreciated! The check-in was quick and sterile which was the first red flag. She handed me the key and that was it. I had to ask where to go, no offer of taking me to the room or explanation of the hotel.
The room was very well designed and super comfortable. It was fairly small but with a clever layout so never felt cramped. No view to speak of but I did love the Le Labo toiletries and the high end finishing of the furniture. The robe was amazing!
The hotel has a lovely pool on the 25th floor which was a real luxury in New York - although when spending minimum $1000 a night I guess its expected. The pool, hot tub, steam room and gym were excellent.
However nothing can forgive the frosty and amateur service levels at this hotel. A smile costs nothing but apparently cannot be given at The Park Hyatt. Every interaction with the staff was frosty and...This hotel started as a 5 star review but over the course of 24 hours has made it down to a 2 star review due to the poor service this hotel offers.

However nothing can forgive the frosty and amateur service levels at this hotel. A smile costs nothing but apparently cannot be given at The Park Hyatt. Every interaction with the staff was frosty and curt. My short stay here ended on a sour note when in the rain, I had to carry my luggage to the car and put it in whilst 3 employees just watched.
In summary, a nice modern luxury property with inadequate service that would put me off staying again. I just checked into the St Regis New York and the experience is far superior! More
