Beautiful apartment feel - bedroom, bathroom, laundry, multiple closets and full size kitchen and living area. Kitchen had full china, silverware and glassware for 8 plus pots, pans, serving dishes, toaster, Cuisinart coffee maker, full size oven, range top, microwave and refrigerator/freezer! Oddly, the only thing that wasn't available was ice! The icemaker wasn't connected which I understood but I called the concierge and was told that I'd have to buy some at a local store!. I few empty ice trays would have done the trick but this was a minor issue. It got a little chilly -- first week of Dec 2013 -- and there was even an extra heater in the bathroom which made it very cozy with all of the tile and porcelain surfaces. The location was perfect - on 44th just a few steps down from Times Square -- near the Toys R Us if you know that landmark! Subway is close - 42 & Broadway - to most places you want to go. All of the theaters are within walking distance and you can use the subway to get anywhere else. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely try it!!!

Location, location, location. Well appointed and very clean rooms, great staff, as quiet as anything in The City can possibly be. I always stay at AKA - quality of the hotel and proximity to my office in NY make it an obvious choice. I'm not exactly sure how much the stay here costs as I never actually paid for it, but I'm sure it's broadly in line with better NY hotels, so probably about $400 a night.

If you want to feel like a New Yorker, I recommend the AKA Times Square for your next New York visit. Located in Times Square right next to all the theaters is a hotel full of brand new apartments. They offer studios, one and two bedroom apartments. You might not even notice there on West 44th, a very played down aka on the awning. Some genius came in and gutted and old building and broke it into 100 modern new apartments. They offer a great deal of space, i stayed in the one bedroom which had a washer/dryer, bathroom with a huge tub, a reasonably sized bedroom and a very nice large living room, dining room and kitchen. They say it is 735 sq ft. The first thing you notice is the beautiful new flooring. The kitchen is all stainless a gorgeous SubZero fridge, glass cook top and dishwasher. Their internet is very speedy. The building is very quiet and there you are surrounded by theaters, Time Square and some great restaurants. I will recommend this to everyone I talk to.

Room Tip: The one bedroom was very nice because when I visit NY, I like to have people over even if it is just...

My sister & I recently stayed at AKA Times Square for 10 nights in a one bed apartment. We absolutely loved it. Spacious, central, quiet, with all the comforts of home. We stayed on the top floor and found no noise at night at all. The staff were very friendly and we loved the freedom an apartment like this affords. Would not hesitate to recommend this property. Viewed the studio apartments which were spacious and newly renovated. Would probably stay in one of those next time, only because they are a bit cheaper. Plenty of space in those as well.

Room Tip: Higher the better I think.

Great location, uniformly good people, really great apartment, spacious, good appliances and the bed is soooo comfortable (could have something to do with staying out 'New York' late). The shop ahead service - so you don't HAVE to eat out for every meal is a real innovation. If you're on a lower floor (sub5) then ear plugs are worth it. Don't forget how close you are to Times Square. Gets cheaper if you stay longer than a week too. Like MacArthur, I shall return....

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment for nine nights and we were completely satisfied with our choice. The living area was spacious, modern and well equipped with all amenities. The rooms were serviced only once during our time, however when we asked for new towels, wash powder etc. it was supplied quickly and without any fuss. We had free wi fi and it worked well all the time. One of the best things about the apartment was the washing machine and dryer. Most necessary items for travellers. AKA is so close to the entertainment area and is in fact within walking distance to most tourist sights. There were many restaurants close by so there really wasn't any need for us to use the kitchen facilities although we did have light breakfasts before heading out each day.
The staff were absolutely fantastic, they assisted with some tour bookings, gave advice about places to visit and how to get there, but most of all they always had a smile and friendly greeting as we walked passed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the AKA apartments
