Food and service were excellent. Seating downstairs was really too close for my taste, but not bad enough to keep me from returning.

The bill was quite reasonable for an excellent dinner with great service for the Upper West Side in New York City.

We have been to Kefi before their flood and were pleasantly surprised how good their earl dinner was. Served from 3-6 it includes a starter like meatballs or soup, a main dish and desert. For 16.95 this is a steal. In fact, go to the bar prior to sitting down, have a happy hour drink at half price and sit down to a wonderful meal.
Service was attentive without being intrusive.

I will go back.

I found this restaurant in a New York City guide book and we weren't disappointed. The portions were ample and the food was tasty. The service was great. I'd go there again.

My wife, 3 young crazy kids and I were visiting with family in NYC. They chose this location because it was away from the pride parade and wouldn't be too congested from the parade route blockage. The interior of the restaurant was very nice. The staff were very friendly. My wife and I ordered the chicken souvlaki with pita and were both somewhat disappointed with it. There was no tzatziki sauce in the pita or anywhere on the platter. The chicken was not very flavourful. Other than that it is in a great location about 5 minutes walk to Central Park. Parking on Sundays on most side streets are free (for at least 3 hours i think). We parked on W 85th St. near Columbus Ave.

Our new favorite restaurant! Our food was impressively delicious and interesting; the lamb shank, for example, was fall-off-the-bone tender, and orzo was a perfect complement. They also had plenty of vegetarian dishes to choose from.

In a friendly and pleasant atmosphere, the service managed to be personable and attentive while unrushed, even though they were very busy on the weekend. Overall, a wonderful place.
