“It's a Joint”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

It's very mysterious when you walk into the hotel and see people lined up in front of a red velvet curtain if you are not looking for the Burger Joint. After some investigation, we got in line and waited for our chance to order. We were concerned that there would not be a table available as we approached the counter but magically as we finished paying a table for 4 became available. We were extremely impressed with the food and the speed to which we received it. Great place with friendly people. Just make sure you know how you want your burger when you get to the counter. Violators of this rule are sent to the back of the line. The do however give you hint cards as you enter the establishment.

“Uncomplicated”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013

If you are looking for a glitzy, sleek NYC hotspot with skyhigh prices - then this is NOT the place for you. Behind the Curtain you will find a simple concept- want a burger, order a burger, pay cash for a burger, then enjoy your burger. It is simple and delicious and any time besides peak hours you can find a seat while you devour your burger and fries. No truffles or $100 price, just a good uncomplicated burger in a fun location.

“Fantastic burger but...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013

...For the tourists, please note that it is okay to share a table in such a small and laid back place. So don't make a fuss when some people ask to share "your" table.

“Great authentic burger in a surprising location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

Tucked behind a curtain at the back of the Lobby in the Parker Meridien hotel is this wonderful oddity. The hotel itself is rather grand (if relaxed) but inside it houses a 'cash-only' burger joint where people queue up and grab a seat when they can to eat their burgers and fries. It's a back to basics burger joint that has an authetic and surprising atmosphere and if you are staying in the local area it's well worth swinging by. As per some of the other reviews you should set your expectations. There can be long queues and once you get in it's cramped and bustling - but as I say if you're nearby and fancy something quick and original it's a real treat.

“Overated”

Ok, if you like nostalgia then maybe for you.
Other than that and not really being a burger connoisseur I couldn't really see why you'd want to pay the extra than going to McDonalds
