“Great Food”
Reviewed July 3, 2007

When my husband and I returned from a trip to France, we were extremely disapointed with the lack of quality and simplicity in most of the American restaurants we ate at when we returned. On a recent trip to Central Park, we spotted “Le Pain Quotidien” on our way and were immediately allured by the pretty, rustic European atmosphere and the large wooden communal tables. We were very pleased with the menu (lots of organic and vegetarian choices too!), and the prices. The service was quick and friendly and we weren't rushed. We had some delicious open faced sandwiches with ricotta, fig and honey and some great homemade lemonade. Overall we were very pleased and will certainly come again! Of course nothing can truly match the magic of a real French patisserie, but this friendly little sandwich shop sure took the sting of missing it just a little.
