Absolutely lovely hotel with arguably the largest rooms in the city. Stayed here for 2 nights last Winter and enjoyed every minute. The food is amazing...(splurge and try Chef Ramsay's Raspberry Soufflé....ridiculous) and enjoy the location which is close to all the major shopping. My hotel of choice in NYC and you will see why!

Enjoyed the spaciousness of the room and the location of the hotel. Felt pampered with the room amenities (robes, slippers, soaps, lotions). Squeaky clean room. Very comfortable bed (couch and desk chair less so...) Staff very friendly and helpful. Appreciated the mini fridge they offered to us and brought to the room. Nice modern and classy hotel. Cannot beat location for tourists like us. Will stay in this hotel again for certain

The London was recommended to me by friends, and I now consider it my NYC home. I love the decor of the public spaces; Gordon Ramsey's restaurant and bar are favorites, and the location is second to none--it's walking distance to shopping on 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue, to Broadway theaters and to Central Park, and the subway station is two blocks away. I've looked at other boutique hotels in the area, thinking I'd like to try something new, but I always come back to The London. I highly recommend it!

Room Tip: I always request a room away from the elevators and have had no trouble with outside noise or sleepi...

Up town hotel, four blocks from Central Park, in-between Broadway and Fifth Avenue.
Very nice art deco hotel. Huge rooms, actually every room has a living room and a walk in wardrobe. They are suites.
A great value for the money you pay. I also recommend the sister hotel in Los Angeles, with even bigger rooms and suites (see my review about London West Hollywood).
It’s true that at the bar you have to wait even if you are a client of the hotel. But no big deal.
Hint: turn right from the hotel, pass 7th and Broadway and on the left sidewalk, surprise, the famous Studio 54 entrance.

Room Tip: as every where in New York close to Central Park, higher is better

We were so lucky to have The London NYC recommended to us prior to our stay in NYC. Everything about The London NYC was what we were told and more. The location is prefect in Mid-town and so is an easy stroll to 5th Ave shopping, Times Square, Central Park etc. We stayed in a 'London Suite' - even though the room is the hotel's smallest option at 500sq feet we had plenty of room with a separate living room; spacious bedroom and double headed shower in the bathroom. We stayed for 17 nights in all and did not once feel 'hemmed in'. Our view was great - best to ask if you can have a room on an upper floor and north facing you will get views of Central Park.
The London staff were so welcoming and helpful - we will definitely be going back next time in New York!

Room Tip: Ask for a North facing room on an upper floor - to get views of Central Park and Hudson River

We stayed three nights in Sept 2013 whilst on a longer tour of the east coast of the US and Canada. We had already stayed in another hotel overlooking central park earlier on in our trip so the London NYC was a lovely way to end our fabulous holiday. We deliberately chose this hotel because of its location and good reviews.
Our suite was large single space and contained all creature comforts including a large comfortable bed, large desk, flat screen TV with satellite, fridge/minibar, clothes hanging space and a luxury bathroom with wetroom shower and large vanity area. The aircon worked well and kept a constant temperature. We did miss having a bathtub and perhaps additional seating which you get in some suites but we were so busy exploring the city this did not spoil our stay.
Our room was on floor 40 and had a stunning view towards central park and also some of the surrounding high rise towers - this really made our trip as there was always something interesting to see. The view was spectacular both day and night. The room was quiet and so we slept well during our stay.
The free wifi worked well and there is a separate business centre on the 1st floor to print off boarding passes etc
Staff are polite and helpful. The room did not have its own safe however you can access the hotel safe deposit boxes (which come with a key) which are located on the 1st floor.
We ate in the Gordon Ramsay restaurant to celebrate my birthday having booked several months in advance. The meal was to an excellent standard and whilst it was also very expensive we thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience.
The hotel is modern, clean and effortlessly chic. The location is ideal for exploring down town Manhattan and there are countless shops, bars and restaurants within minutes walking distance. You are approx 10 mins from times square and another 15mins to central park. We will hopefully return to stay again soon!

Room Tip: A room higher up will give best views of the park.
