Amazing hotel in NYC. Just came back after spending 4 nights with my husband and 18 year old son. Rooms nice and big and could accommodate all three of us comfortably. French doors provided privacy from the living area/3rd bed area. Rooms very clean and bright. Nothing to complain about. Excellent.

The rooms are nicely appointed, and very comfortable, as they are all suites. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The room service is fast and costly.
The location is ideal for walking to the theaters in Broadway or to Lincoln Center, without having to rely on non existing taxis at show times. Many wonderful restaurants in the surrounding area. A few blocks from Central Park.

Room Tip: Rooms have queens and kings and they are assigned at arrival time, in order of arrival. To guarant...

I've just returned home after an amazing weekend in the London hotel and am already pricing flights for a return visit.

I've been to NYC on a number of occasions and stayed in some great hotels. However, none of them are a match for the London. It was an exceptional experience from check in to check out and I cannot wait to return.

I stayed in an amazing suite on the 48th floor which had fantastic views of Central Park. This corner suite was enormous, with a huge bedroom and separate living room. Even the bathroom was bigger than most New York hotel bedrooms! It had a shower room, with two separate showers which would be ideal if you have a companion to shower with (alas I didn't!!!).

This hotel provides many amenities that other hotels don't. For example, free wifi is provided throughout the building.  The gym is a proper facility and not just a poky room with a treadmill and some free weights that some hotels offer and advertise as a gym. The gym here is enormous and provides an array of equipment, even better, it is open 24 hours! The drapes in the bedrooms are controlled electronically because..........well why not! The decor is very trendy and furniture is not only comfortable, but exceptionally stylish. Nothing in the hotel is overlooked (except Central Park of course).

The location is second to none and provides a perfect base for city exploring. It is a couple of blocks from Central Park, subway station, Fifth Ave and Times square.

Each member of staff I encountered was incredibly friendly and efficient. The concierge service provided excellent recommendations. Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey has a restaurant in the hotel. Each night the bar was buzzing with an electric ambiance. The food was top class and I would strongly recommend sampling what it has to offer.

After a stay here you will realise life is not good. It's frickin great. If Tripadvisor allowed a 6 star rating, this hotel would get it. I would confidently recommend this hotel and can't wait to return.

Just arrived back in London having spent 5 evenings at the London NYC. Could not find a single fault. Staff extremely friendly, rooms very comfortable, room service excellent, Gordon Ramsay at the maze - tasting menu was good and an endless array of wines to compliment the fine dining. The location is just about perfect, 10 mins walk to Central Park/Times Square; 15 mins to Empire State/Grand Central Station (oyster bar)

I agree with all the reviewers who rave about the location, the room size, the value, etc, and I will definitely be back to stay here on my next visit. However, there a number of little issues that would make this hotel perfect.

1. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a sliding door. Due to the trim at the bottom, there was a gap of about 2 inches between the door and the wall when the door was fully shut, so there wasn't a lot of privacy.

2. Our room was a little warm and muggy at all times. The thermostat was set on 65 when we arrived and read that the room temperature was 65. It actually felt more like 72 or 73. I called maintenance and they came and insisted that it was 65 degrees in the room. When I disagreed, they offered to bring me a fan. I am from Atlanta so I know what air conditioning feels like. We keep our house at 69 degrees and the room was a lot warmer than that.

3. I was thirsty the whole time. There were no waters in the room and nowhere to buy any at the hotel. I didn't dare touch the tiny ones in the minibar because I couldn't find a price list and based on the food and beverage prices in the hotel, it was sure to be high.

4. The food prices are extremely high compared to the room price of the hotel. The continental breakfast was $ 28 person, though it was comped for us. I don't know it that's the case for all guests. Pancakes would have been $22. A burger is $21. I know the Gordon Ramsey restaurants are a draw, but it would be nice to have more reasonable options. How good could that burger or pancakes be for that price? The casual restaurant had a 3 course dinner for $82. I think the formal dining room was more like $135/person.

Again, the value, room size, location, and the hipness of this hotel means I will be back. However, I wish they would address some of the details that really affect the quality of the stay.

Just arrived back from a four day stay at The London, a fantastic experience from the moment we were met at the door. The room / suite was perfect and the chilled champers and chocolates in the room on arrival a very nice touch (thanks to Rebecca Rand and Sofia Vandaele)! Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff who were politeness personified. A perfect location to explore this marvellous city.
