Stayed for two nights in a standard room.My request for a high floor and away from elevators were met. Location is great if you want to stay in midtown. Staff have also been very kind and helpful. However, I paid 350$+ tax for one nite. I might try somewhere else for this rate.

After spending months researching hotels, checking reviews, and calling around, we decided to book this little hotel on 5th Ave and 35th St. for our first trip to NYC. The majority of the reviewers gave them a huge thumbs up - and we're no different! This small hotel is in the best ever location...rooms were tiny, but very comfortable for a 6 night stay for the two of us. The staff, especially Bebe, were extremely friendly and helpful...they seemed to know everything! Lots of places to eat within a block radius and short walks to everywhere we needed to go. Subway just a block away. Starbucks conveniently just off the lobby. We would definitely stay there again and again!

Room Tip: We had a queen room away from the street - were not bothered by any noise at all.

If you are looking for an average hotel in an excellent location then Hotel 373 isn't a bad choice.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and found it a very comfortable place to stay though to put it nicely it was very cozy. By that I mean the room was very small and we didn't really have anywhere to put our cases without needing to step over some of them any time we wanted to move around the room. To be fair this wasn't the greatest of inconveniences, but worth mentioning in case you have a lot of luggage.

Positives were the nice spacious bathroom, well equipped and comfortable room, cleanliness and the brilliant location. Staff were also very friendly and helpful.

I have given Hotel 373 an average review because it is only really what you would expect of a hotel. There was nothing bad about this hotel but nothing stands out either and the high prices are clearly due to the location, which is fair enough.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in November. The hotel location was very central and only a matter of steps to the Empire State Building. We booked directly with the hotel via their website and received complimentary breakfast vouchers for the deli next door for each morning we were there-a choice of english muffins with sausage, cheese and eggs on or porridge with a choice of toppings, plus another 4 or so breakfast options - along with tea or coffee.
The hotel rooms were quite small but perfectly adequate for their purpose. The shower was powerful and everything was clean. There was a wall mounted tv in the room, desk, small wardrobe, choice of bed size and a coffee machine with complimentary starbucks coffee and flavoured tea bags replenished each day.
Walls in the room were quite thin but we still slept well.
The hotel is tall and thin and a lift takes you up and down the 9 floors.
Joined onto the tiny hotel reception area / desk is a starbucks coffee shop. Starbucks are everywhere in NY - one on nearly every corner.
The hotel offers free wifi and signal strength is good.On checkout day they will allow you to store your suitcases until you need to leave.
The location of this hotel is great and central to all attractions. It's located on 5th avenue /35th street.
There is a great brewery pub a few steps across the road ( underneath the Empire State Building ) which serves lovely food and has great home brewed ales. Heartland Real Beer Brewery is its name.
Transfers back home to the airport can be dealt with by the reception towards the end of your stay. They can order you a private car transfer at your own choice of leaving time -$70 or you can request pickup in the minibus transfer to the airport but you cannot state the exact time and you will be picked up hours in advance of flight departure as you will be calling at other hotels en route.

Had a lovely holiday in New York and would recommend this hotel. The price worked out around £210 sterling pounds per night here & I understand this is reasonable for NY hotels.
We will return.

Yes the rooms are small but the are perfectly adequate for a stay in New York. Clean, tidy and the friendly staff make this hotel an ideal choice and the location is just amazing. Would certainly recommend this hotel and would stay there again without any doubt

Hotel 373 is on a great spot on 5th Ave between 35 & 36 street. Given the right room, it is possible to wake up to view of the Empire State. Staff are helpful and friendly too, but all the positives end there.

We booked for 4 nights, but only stayed for 2. Would have only stayed for 1 if we could.

Firstly, the rooms are very small. Ours was about 15 sqm, and was one of the larger ones. Furthermore, nothing in the room worked with the space, making it even more cramped - for example, the only light for the bedroom had its switch in the far corner; the larger (yet barely effective) air con jutted awkwardly into the room; a nice desk was next to the bed, but the chair was too large and was a hindrance.

The decor was also very dated - the doors and furniture was a heavy dark wood with the metal handles of the office surplus variety. TV was about 24in. Carpets had better days, and in the hallways it seemed to be covering up potholes in the floorboards.

But most of all, the thing that made us change hotels was the the room was so noisy - we could clearly hear every noise on the street, despite being on an upper floor. Maybe the windows need to be thicker, or the air con replaced, but it was really not good enough.

Therefore, we cancelled the rest of out booking, relocating to a nearby hotel that vastly improved on all of the above.

David,
Thanks so much for giving us a shot. Since we are in the hub of midtown, it can get noisy from time to time. Thanks again.

I had booked this hotel but changed reservations at last minute to a Holiday Inn Express ONLY because of price. I coincidentally happened to be at the Starbucks connected to the lobby and asked the receptionist if I could see a room. She was very accomodating. I was taken up to one of the rooms for a brief tour. Yes, small...but it is a NYC tourist hotel. Clean and quiet. "Old" fashioned window A/C was about the only thing that stood out. Asked when the hotel was renovated last and was told 6 or 7 years ago. It could use a face lift but did appear like a good value.
