As a professional Corporate Event planner, I see the inside of hotels far too often.
So when I come across a property doing an outstanding job... I like to give them the
credit they deserve.

The Duane Street Hotel is a wonderful hotel. The location is perfect for a stay in
downtown New York City. Tons of restaurants and lovely shops. An easy walk
into Soho and the Village. The public spaces are clean and well presented.
Yes, the guest rooms are a little on the small size, but extremely clean and very well
designed. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom has great lighting!

However, it's the staff that makes this hotel what it is! Smiling, friendly and eager to
assist. Some NYC hotel boast superior staffing that comes with an "attitude". There's no
pretentiousness here. The Duane Street staff are professional, knowledgeable and well
trained in the "art" of concierge.... so important for first time NYC travelers.

I will return to the Duane Street Hotel and recommend it completely!!!

Natasha was all smiles at check-in and handled everything for us with ease! Kelly was also helpful. Our room was clean, completely odor-free and comfortable. (I mention odor-free because, did you ever stay somewhere that initially looks great and then, in the middle of the night, some pervasive smell gets to you? Like the exhaust from a kitchen fan, an odor of cigarette smoke, or even worse?) Well, Duane Street Hotel is definitely a keeper. Convenient to everything!

Room Tip: We really liked the second floor. You could walk to the lobby and had a great street view, yet priva...

The Duane Street Hotel provides an unusual degree of luxury and a terrific New York vibe at a reasonable price in a perfect Tribeca location. The beds are wonderful, the décor attractive urban modern, the rooms are quiet!, amazing use of space given that space is at a premium in downtown Manhattan. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Pampering extra treats include fluffy bathrobes and Ren amenities. This is a vibrant part of town within easy walking distance of Soho, Nolita, Chinatown, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Lower East Side and more - perfect base for exploring NYC.

Don't even question staying at Duane Street Hotel. The service, staff, accommodations, bathrooms, and restaurant were all 5*. This little treasure is easily one of the best and I would say quite affordable boutique properties in NYC. I'm in luxury travel and have a very critical eye. The restaurant saved my butt and helped me host an intimate cocktail reception one day before the event was to happen (we needed a new location due to issues at the consulate). The place was great and the people working there made my weeklong stay in NYC quite memorable and worth the stay! Don't question yourself, just book it!

Stayed at the Hotel for the Memorial Day weekend. great location,Tribeca has to be the best area to use as a central point when you visit NY, you can literally walk to the financial district, battery park, Soho or little Italy or take the #3 train to Times Square. The staff at the hotel was very accommodating, rooms are clean and modern, beds are very comfortable. We did have the issue of heat not working on the first night ( who will think you will need heat for memorial Day) but they placed a portable heater in the room. Valet parking is a nice option if you drive to Tribeca like we did. Overall very pleasant experience will definitely stay here again...Highly recommended.
Never got to try the famous chocolate chip cookies they bake daily at 11 am.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter no street noise, windows are thick, double pane.

The accomondations and service were outstanding! Room was spacious for a hotel in NY City, clean and beautifully decorated. The lobby is absolutely beautiful, cookies and iced beverage all day. Jed and James were absolutely outstanding. We were in NY for our son's graduation and soon as we returned to the hotel, they asked about the ceremony. When leaving the next day, they went above and beyond trying to assist us with transportation to the airport, calling a driver and hailing a cab for fiftenn minutes (shift change) until they did get a driver for us. Everything was perfect at the hotel; wouldn't stay anywhere else in NY.

This was a very nice hotel in a good location.
Upon arrival we were told we had been upgraded to a better room.
Beautiful rooms and newly redecorated.
Me and my friend did not spend so much time at the hotel so we could have stayed at a cheaper one. We stayed for 4 nights.
