Very large Hilton property, definitely an iconic building in NYC. Stayed here for a competition.

Pro
1. Excellent location
2. Great convention area
3. Treat HHonor member well.

Cons
1. Way to crowded, unless you are a diamond member, prepare to wait for 30mins before check in
2. Room is showing signs of wear and tear
3. Executive lounge is filled with children
4. Quite expensive compare to nearby hotels

Room Tip: Halal food one round the corner is probably the best food u can find in NYC. Remember to ask for sp...

I stayed here for a conference in Sep. Needed an accessible room for that visit due to an injury and was given a very spacious room with a nice size bathroom for NYC. The room was clean and quiet. Registration/Check-in took a long time - they should have more staff covering the reception during peak weeks / large conferences. I'd skip the breakfast at the hotel restaurant if you have the option to go out. Great location and overall a good choice for a business stay. Since its NYC, had to pay for wi-fi. I hope some day it'll be part of the room amenities and not a add-on.

My husband and I spent a Thursday night in NY for a business function. We typically stay at boutique hotels in NY for the nice comfy feel however we were very happy with the Hilton. While it was very busy and we were initially surprised that a number of workers behind the front desk didn't step in to help when a significant line began to form. We were able to overcome it once we were waited on. Our room was nice for NYC and the location was superb. The service was great in that we were able to get a cab quickly to attend our event.

Just stayed for an 18 day stretch and had a pleasant experience once again. My room was clean and was in good order. The bathrooms always seem small to me, but that is common in New York. The staff were friendly and always helpful. I have stayed 10 years in a row now and I must admit the carpet throughout the Hotel could be upgraded, its starting to really show its age. The location is excellent with easy walking distance to many attractions and several subway entrances.

Room Tip: higher up helps with any street noise that may be occurring.

Having stepped of a transatlantic flight I arrived at the hotel to stand in a 20 minute queue at 8pm on a saturday while one person worked the check in desk, there were other staff around, but they were either chatting on mobile phones or doing something more important that taking care of guests. When I finally got to the front of the queue, I was told the room I had reserved a king size room was not available - there was me thinking that was the point of a reservation, little did i know, but it was ok as they had managed to DOWNGRADE me to a queen room??? Sorry, but i thought when they make a mistake like that, the polite thing to do is give you something better than you should be getting not worse! So no i am sitting in the lobby, the next day, waiting for the room i should have had all along, can't go out because apparently the hotel can't move my stuff for me, i have to be present - as for the queen room, well it was tiny and dated, this is a souless hotel, they don't even give you a bottle of drinking water in the room, - unhelpful staff, won't be coming back, anytime soon

Room Tip: The tip for choosing a good room here is don't bother, when you reserve something, they don'...

Not quite in Times Square, and that's a good thing. Very central and very easy to get to places. Great deal when booking with points. May be my "points" go to hotel in NYC from know on. Will frequent again and again.

Our room carpet had a visible hole in the carpet, the furniture was worn, and the sheet was stained - housekeeping did come and change it. It was a great location but at 4:30 every morning we were woken by a LOUD beep, beep, beep - garbage truck backing up? We were on the 17th floor, so I mean loud! This lasted over 30 min, which made going back to sleep impossible.
