Long, leisurely weekday afternoon lunch at this extremely pleasant neighborhood place. We came for the Alsatian food and wine which was all very good, but there are dishes for everyone here. Service is excellent: you are made to feel completely at home. People dropping in for a drink or some food all through the afternoon. Obvious "regulars" and for good reason. Wish we could take the place to our city!

Wanting to introduce the "Choucroute" to American friends, I invited them to "Le Cafe d'Alsace". We had a wonderful evening ! The decor is beautiful, the staff is friendly, professional, efficient, Kyle who took care of us was perfect !, and the food so delicious ! I am French and know a good choucroute ! Worth everything ! We are going and taking more friends ! You should go too ! Enjoy !

This is my go to restaurant whenever I am in the Yorkville area of NYC. Since I have friends in this area I am there frequently and Café d'Alsace has never disappointed any of us. The food is very good along with the service. No matter how many people are in your group everyone will be able to find something to suit them.

This is a hidden gem. The food is not typical french food. Food in the Alsace region of France has a heavy German influence. The smells that come from this restaurant are heavenly.

This was a nice place for an impromptu lunch. The menu was impressive, the food was delicious, and our server was attentive. Unfortunately it was very crowded and noisy. Having a conversation was difficult. We waited for a table for 15 minutes which wasn't a problem but no matter where we stood, we were in someone's way. Be sure to be there with your entire party or they won't seat you.
