With plenty of lovely areas (Wall Street, Battery Park etc), Lower Manhattan gives you a unique peek into the nuances of the city!

Lower Manhattan takes in a lot of territory with many different attractions, restaurants, stores, parks, and neighborhoods, so it is difficult to review it in detail in a short space. But if one is visiting New York City, time spent exploring Lower Manhattan is an essential part of the experience. From the High Line to Chelsea Market to Greenwich Village to Chinatown to and Little Italy to the 9/11 memorial and museum to Battery Park, there is probably something for everyone. So take your time, walk around, bring your camera and appetite and sense of adventure, and you will be sure to find something that pleases you and helps define what New York is.

Stayed at The Wagner Hotel so very close to all sights of Lower Manhatten. There is much history & awesome buildings. Lots of good cafes & restaurants.

We enjoyed strolling through lower manhattan in the financial district (good luck getting close to that bull!) with its small narrow streets reminiscent of European villages.

There is a lot to see and experience in lower Manhattan and good restaurants and taverns. The Bull on Broadway, Battery Park, Native American Museum, Ferry Point to Staten Island which is free and a great ride, departure point for the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and so many more things and places to see all within easy walking distance.

Of course, when people (tourists and people who are not local) thinking of New York City, it is mainly Lower Manhattan where most tall spectacular skylines are and where the photo is known around the world. This is where tourist are in and all package tours will include because it is where you start the Brooklyn Walk, catch the ferry to the Statue of Liberty, or visit 9/11 memorials. Most people just want to take the photo of "Wall Street" sign and the New York Exchange building. The lower Mantattan is also known as Downtown New York, It is located the end tip part of Manhattan. Great place to be on Saturday when the Broadway street is closed for car and the street is full with food and gift stalls. A must to be place.

This was a great place to visit for us and to be in and see the Lower Manhattan area, to see the iconic buildings, financial district and recognise the locations we are so used to seeing on TV. A must do in NYC.

Spent some time there on our trip and saw some interesting places. Also spent some time at Battery Park and learned about the role it played in our country's history.
