We visited Morimoto with family visiting from out of town. Our party was 6 including 2 teens, one with a broken leg and needed to be in a wheelchair. The staff were very accommodating. The decor is very minimal, and they did a great job with the frosted glass partitions to allow for some privacy and noise control. The staff were very attentive and the manager came over several times during our meal. Some must haves when dining here are the toro tartare, the Wagyu A5 beef which cooks table side on a hot stone. The beef was absolutely amazing and after learning about how hard it is for beef to achieve the A5 rating, it enhanced the experience even more. The sashimi and sushi appetizer was also very good. We ordered sake with our meal which was great. The desserts were also incredible. Our teenagers were able to experience a really amazing meal.

We went there two years ago and liked it then. Glad to see it’s still a very good place for great Japanese food. Design is very modern and the tables are quite secluded.

We had a fabulous waiter named Jack, super personality ,a thousand watt mile and very knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the tuna tartar(amazing) the black cod (delicious) and the chef choice sushi platter. 2 incredible drink(spicy kosho) a corner table and serene surroundings. This is located at the end of Chelsea Market. Superb sushi, and sake choices. Excellent service. Little ambience and tables are squished in and they are all close to each other. Go with Omakase as it is chef’s choice. Ours was delicious!

Went with coworkers during restaurant week. The restaurant is very fancy and had top class service. The food was very delicious. The pre fixed menu during restaurant week was $42 which included an appetizer entree and dessert. The entree I ordered was usually $60 which is out of my budget. I ordered blackened octopus as an appetizer n it was amazing. Then I ordered the braised cod as my main dish and it was so tasty. Then I ordered I ordered the sorbet which was delicious as well. If you are looking for a fancy restaurant and are willing to spend a little extra, this place is a great choice.
