Each dish we ordered was more beautiful than the next; exquisite attention to detail, quality, and freshness. We all felt overwhelmed by the largesse of the menu and while the servers are helpful and knowledgeable, we would have preferred less description and more direction. I know this is crazy but the bathrooms are amazing. Do NOT miss the bathrooms. The location is just above the Chelsea Markets and just below the High Line - a fantastic part of town to be in. It's pricey, but for a special occasion it hits the mark perfectly.

Often when a place is as designed as this, the food suffers, but definitely not the case here. Even at the price, the toro special is stellar. A great restaurant week choice too. Amazing service. And the custom bathrooms with infinity mirror blossoms ... sublime.

Be prepared to spend $$$ but it's an experience. Service was ok - a bit pretentious but the interior design is something to see. We started out with some appetizers - yellowtail pastrami, pork gyoza and rock shrimp tempura - all very well done and, of course, were works of art. We then ordered a huge plate of sushi/sashimi - top quality fish, no doubt and by far the best was the kinmedai (golden bigeye snapper) - never had this fish before and it was delicious, so splurge as it's $9 a pop! Spicy tuna roll was also very well done.

I This is my go-to spot in the neighborhood for easy yet elegant business lunch meetings. I highly recommend their lunch set menus.
I don't recommend this place for NYC's famous Restaurant Week(s). You get the same lunch deal just anytime! I noticed a lot of tourists in the last few visits (not that it bothered me or anything..) Thanks to Chelsea Market & High Line rain.

Yum. Very high quality experience, laid back service-- we got the crab leg appetizer, tableside tofu, rock shrimp tempura, and the chefs combo sushi, which was amazing. Nice atmosphere, may be bordering on a bit touristy but I still got the NY vibe. A family had brought their well behaved 7 year old to the restaurant and they were treated very well too.
