We went here for my sister's 50th birthday so you know the meal had better be good! We did the tasting menu where you got an appetizer, 2 pastas shared by the table, a main entree and dessert. First off, the service was impeccable- very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Each lady at the table even got a small stool for their handbag-not imperative but a nice touch. The nice thing about the tasting menu was that each person got to choose their own appetizer, main and dessert. The only thing we had to decide on was which pastas to get for the table. My octopus appetizer was delicious- not tough at all. For the main I got the lamb chops- medium was nicely done- read pink as it should be! They were very tender and delicious as well. For the pastas, we got the pumpkin cappellaci (ravioli) and the lasagna. Not very exciting choices I admit but they amazing. As you can tell by now, everything we had was excellent! We somehow had room left for dessert, which again were delicious especially the butterscotch semifreddo. Usually portions for a tasting menu are quite small but here I thought the portions were quite generous. Overall the dinner was a success. In fact this dinner equals the dinner I had at Colicchio and Sons which happens to be down the block. Either place would be great for a special occasion.
