Description: The first uptown New York location by legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, opened to much anticipation in the summer of 2005. Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature New Style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno and Black Cod Miso, and new creations from the wood burning oven and the hibachi table.

“Nobu 57”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2013

First time here, had previously only been to Nobu downtown (which I loved). This Nobu seems dressier and room fancier than TriBeCa location. Staff was lovely and accommodating. Great service. Food good. My miso cod was very good, just not the absolute perfection it had been at the other location. I would certainly return.

“Exquisite Offerings--an experience to remember”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013

I've been about 4 times. Each time I've tried the full tasting menue. Best single bites of food outside Drago's charbroiled oysters in New Orleans. The chic atmosphere adds to the dining experience. Can be pricey, but so worth it. This is fine asian dining with a modern hip flair. its just incredible. The bar is insnae downstairs. thank goodness you have to walk up a pretty steep flight of stairs to get to the dining room. Beware of the saki and alcohol consumption when coming down those same stairs after dinner. Timberrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

“Restaurant Science”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013

Every aspect of this restaurant deserves top accolades. They divide the very loud bar crowd from the diners well. They meet you and direct you to the table well. Service is immediate and watchful throughout your experience. The dining area is a buzz, beautiful and comfortable. The food looks and tastes great. They nailed everything for us, we had a great experience.

“Another Nobu Visited”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

This was our first time in Nobu 57. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was nicely prepared and tasty, We just get the feeling recently that they are sometimes just going through the motions, and forgetting the creative side which is so amazing for Nobu. We enjoyed the atmosphere and overall experience.
