Description: The first uptown New York location by legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, opened to much anticipation in the summer of 2005. Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature New Style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno and Black Cod Miso, and new creations from the wood burning oven and the hibachi table.

“Another Nobu Visited”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

This was our first time in Nobu 57. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was nicely prepared and tasty, We just get the feeling recently that they are sometimes just going through the motions, and forgetting the creative side which is so amazing for Nobu. We enjoyed the atmosphere and overall experience.

“Deeeeeelish!”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

The black cod is frickin divine! This atmosphere and quality of the food and service are top notch. We will return when in New York. Yes, its pricey, but you won't be disappointed. We though the sushi was very good and we found very good wine on the wine list. Highly recommended!

“Great first Nobu experience”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

We enjoyed our first dining experience at Nobu 57. Great bar on the first floor to start the evening. We decided on the Omakase - Chef's Choice to sample 7 small dishes for dinner. Each dish was unique and fantastic. Service was excellent, helpful, and well-paced. Wonderful first Nobu experience. Would definitely return.

“Deliciously different”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

I was expecting sushi and what we got was a divine meal with amazing taste combinations. The lobster salad was wonderful, the fish 'hot dish' was great, and the sushi at the end of the meal was perfect (we even ordered more!). Oh...and the dessert - very tasty. All in all - a perfect meal (with great service too).

“Great Sushi”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

One of our favorite go to restaurants in NYC. Love the spicy rock shrimp tempura. On our most recent vist we tried the stuffed eggplant with spicy sauce and seafood. It was excellent. Also a great place to people watch.
