So, they do different sittings and anytime I'm there it's packed. Making a reservation was/is a pain sometimes, depending who you get on the phone. The ideal way to start your dinner is to have a Cookshop cocktail at the bar, a nice aperitif. The menu is small but excellent choices on fish and meat. The atmosphere is perfect new york, loud, busy and a good hum around the place. The waiters are lovely and genuinely make good recommendations on the wine list too. It is expensive, very little change out of $200 for 2 people if you include a good tip and a bottle of wine. BUT it is a fine good New York restaurant which you have to try once!
