“Best View in New York City”
Reviewed July 13, 2010

Best place to see all of Manhattan and the surrounding area. Best value is to take sunrise and sunset tour. Well worth the price. My recommendations is to go anytime during the day but come back at night to see the city in lights. You haven't truly seen NYC until you've seen it from the "Top of the Rock".

“Beautiful views of the Empire State...”
Reviewed July 11, 2010

Beautiful views of the Empire State Building, Central Park, and most of Midtown. However, when we arrived it was about 11 o'clock, when they normally send the last group to the top. Since many of their signs and ads stated that they closed at midnight, we figured we had a little less than an hour to take pictures and look around. We went through the maze of queue lines to the elevator, where we were sent up to the top floors. The elevator ride was actually very cool; you can watch the elevator shoot up through the transparent ceiling. We went on the first level for about 10 minutes, then went to the second level for about five. We were then told to go up to the top level, since they were closing soon. We ended up leaving after thirty minutes, and they closed off the observation deck at about 11:35. We enjoyed the views at the Top of the Rock, but the early closing really put a damper on the whole experience.
This is a good place to go if you don't get on the last tour, because if you do, your time will be shorter than others'.

“Top of the World, MA!”

Very Good attraction. A bit pricey at about $80 for our family of 4, ut you can see Central Park and the Empire State Building. The longest line we waited in was for security and that was about 3 minutes.

“Excellent views”
Reviewed July 9, 2010

There's nothing wrong with visiting both this and the Empire State Building. However, I feel "The Rock" is better due to it's closer proximity to Central Park, which gives better pictures. Also, there seemed to be more space up there.. the Empire State Building is more compact with all the crowds. I really enjoyed it and recommend it to any traveller. Go early to avoid any queues.

“A must-do!”
Reviewed July 9, 2010

Amazing views, great pictures, very little wait and you are not rushed to come back down. While in line, a photographer tries to get you for a picture which is kind of tacky but you can say no and just move on. Family loved the experience!
