“Fun at night!”

We had the NYC pass so that was cool BUT its a bummer you have to go to the site to get a TIX to come back later. So I guess this is park NYCpass issue and part Rock issue. View were pretty amazing at night and it was such a different perspective of the city. I just was not prepared to take pix at night so they arent the best. But maybe I should learn how to use the fancy camera I bought almost 2 years ago. I wouldnt pay retail to go here but with the pass it made it good.

“The Best Views of New York”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2014

This is definitely a must-do when in New York, especially if this is your first visit. The views are beautiful, especially on a clear day. You can get incredible pictures of the Empire State Building and lower Manhattan. The other side of the building, you will have views of Central Park and upper Manhattan. It costs around $25-$30 per adult but is well worth the cost. Once you buy your ticket, you are given a time to return so the lineups are not too bad.

“Breath taking Views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2014

Found out that I could have got tickets on the day of. However, I would be taking a chance in terms of the available slots and potentially mean a couple of more hours before my tour.

I am glad I got my tickets ahead of time online with a locked in time so that it was smooth sailing upon arrival.

There was a bit of a wait following the video short presentation before we were ushered to the elevator banks. The fact that it was Easter weekend may explain the long lines and delays in getting to the Observation deck.

It was a nippy evening but a great night to get some good shots. All in all I would say it was well worth the trip.

“Great view, excellent alternative to the Empire State Building”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2014

Went to the Top of the Rock on a recent visit to New York. We had visited the Empire State Building observation deck previously and wanted to get a new perspective. The queues are far shorter than they were at ESB and the staff seem a little more friendly too. We went in time for sunset and it was clear that a lot of people also had that idea too.

They even manage to make the ride in the elevator fun by having windows in the roof and some imaginatively lit elevator shafts. It certainly gives everyone something to look at whilst avoiding awkward elevator conversation.

The views from the top are great and as a lot of others have identified, you are able to get a stunning view of the Empire State Building, which is not possible if you're stood at the top of the ESB!

If you are visiting for sunset, be prepared for a little pushing and shoving as people compete to get the best views and arrive early so you can ensure you get a good vantage point.

I'd definitely recommend the Top of the Rock to anyone visiting NYC.

“The best 360 degree views”

Fantastic views, queues not too long. No jostling for position - plenty of room for everyone. Well worth the money.
