“great views, well organized”

I loved the views that TOTR offered - being able to see the ESB and Chrysler Building was cool. Tickets should be pre-purchased so that you get the exact time that you want. We made the mistake of not buying them when I had planned so didn't get the time I wanted. We were up to the top within about 20 mins.

Definitely prefer this over the ESB.

“Spectacular”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2014

Was worth waiting to head up the Rock despite a small crowd milling at the lobby. Very windy and chilly evening but fantastic 360 degree views of the bright lights of New York's skyscrapers. Would suggest taking a night trip to either the Rock in the evening or the Empire State Building, and then visit the other by day. We were travelling with New York Pasess, so it was all very straightforward and worthwhile. I can imagine that the experience would be very thrilling for children and families. Also, nice to stroll around the Rock's ground level or skate on its rink.

“Great Views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2014

Great views with indoor and outdoor observation areas. I've been up in the Empire State Building as well and I definitely prefer Top of the Rock. It has better views, much more room and is less crowded, half the price of the Empire State Building, and you can view and take pictures OF the Empire State Building. Go just before dusk to take day, twilight, and night pictures. Great value.

“Worth every penny”

I went to Top of the Rock the morning after doing the Empire State Building and much preferred TOTR. The view is great, providing views of the Empire State and also Central Park. In addition the queues seemed far less than Empire State and you felt like there was much more room to move around.

“Sun and stars package was the best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2014

We pre-purchased a sun and stars package which allowed us to see the top of the rock during the day and again in the evening. This was wonderful as you could see the whole city in daylight and we then watched the sun set and the lights come up in the evening. Was magical to see the Empire State building dominate the city skyline and help get perspective on New York city. I would strongly recommend a trip to the Top of the Rock!
