Much better view than the empire state building. If you wanted to get a comprehensive view of Manhattan island, this is definitely a great spot to view it from. Admission is still $27.

We loved the view but could do without the long line ups...
Should have the staff that sell you the tickets inform the patrons that once the ticket is purchased to stay away from the entrance of the TOP of the Rock until the expressed time on your ticket...otherwise a very unhappy security doorman for the observation deck will try an politely tell ya to get lost until your ticket time. We saw this happening over and over as we checked out stores within the building.

We only pursued this option in our Citi Pass because the Guggenheim wasn't fully open. However, it turned into a great option. Go at night-last access is at 11pm- to enjoy New Yrk at night. Stunning!

Visited here after doing The Empire State. Preferred this as it seemed to be less rushed and crowded and more room at the top. Better views of Central Park from here but the Chrysler building is half hidden. Also the area around here is nicer than around the Empire State Building as it has a shopping concourse under it.

Visited this last week and I must say it is a great experience. I've been to similar spots before in different countries, but this is unique being without roof. Staff is very helpful and always smiling. I was confused between Empire state and this one and finally opt for this as Empire state is itself a landmark and it really looks best from top of the rock.

- You can either book tickets online OR buy them at ticket counter (there is no price difference).
- There is no limit on duration for which you want to stay
- You get awesome view of Central park
- Even if you're alone, you'll get many people happily take your picture. However, it gets a little crowded during sunset.

Don't miss this!
