“Go late”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

We went late in the day (4pm) and there weren't any lines. We also had a City Pass so we wouldn't have had to have waited long anyway. That being said, the observation deck was still slightly crowded but not as crowded as other times. Unfortunately, I forgot about the weather and the skies were cloudy making our viewing of the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, etc difficult.

“Great”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

Having done the empire state building on my last visit to the city, this was welcome change from the tourist merry go round.

Little in the way of a queue, infact there were only four people ahead of us, it's slick and cheaper than the other place too. The view is also arguably better - you get a cracking uninterrupted vista of the empire state and lower manhattan from one side, and the same view of central park and the upper east/west sides on the other.

Worth mentioning that the views are uninterrupted by security fencing too - just huge safety glass panels, so your photos probably look better too!

“Do it!”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

If you only do one thing in New York (unlikely I know), make it this one.
Views are incredible, it is reasonably priced, and you don't have to wait as long as for the Empire State.

“Skip the ESB and see it from here!”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

This is it. This is your #1 NYC viewing spot - forget going to the Empire State Building. Why would you do that when you can see it in all it's glory from here?!
Central Park, ESB, Chrysler building and even tiny views of the Statue of Liberty and Freedom Tower. Perfect spot to soak up the atmosphere of the city even in the cold of winter.
There's a long line at times, but they're long forgotten once you get to the top.
The entire journey is well organised (though the 'photo opportunity' on the way to the elevator is somewhat irritating) and fairly swift once you have your tickets.

Don't miss out on this!

“Best view of the Empire State Building”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

Short lines and very little waiting time.Transparent elevator ceiling revealing lights lining the shaft all the way to the top. Great views of Central Park, West Side, East Side, Midtown, Time Square and Harlem, including the best view of Empire State Building. Very hot during midday, remember sunblock and a hat.
