Loved the view, a definite must do when visiting NYC, I loved the ice rink too.
A very easy to get to attraction.
Great to see the history of the building too.

The views are undoubtedly spectacular!

Customer service horrendous. Had 20 minutes to spare before we went to the top. Been told about she's so got there 20 minutes early. Was waiting in the corridor ( which I agree was blocking It) but you would think with a massive building like this that there would be a waiting room for tickets that are due in next 30 minutes or so, especially for the price you pay..i always turn up early for anything. We ended up finding a seating area a few corridors away, where we sat quite happily. Had 2 young children with us, got a coffee and juice. Set off with 5 minutes to spare. Again told to move away. My first point is the seating area that we did find, which was a few good minutes walk. Why wasn't staff directing customers to this place rather than shouting to move away from the entrance!! Quite aggressively. Secondly why wasn't we told to come at the exact time on the ticket and why haven't they got a waiting room at the side for guests that do come that little bit earlier. Would it not make more sense to get the 2 of the next parties in a room waiting comfortable than waiting in a corridor getting shouted at. Especially after a long day in new York and this being the last thing to do. Thirdly you pay $140 2 adults and 2 children and they then try and sell you picture!!!! Never again. Paid $52 for us all to go to staue of liberty which included crown and boat tour. This lasted half of day. We was in and out of top of the rock 20/30 minutes!

As a photographer I just had to take the ride to the TOP for the sunset!

What a view it was, although so packed you had to be aggressive to get a spot st the edge to
shoot decent photos, but once you did the view was stunning!

Definitely don’t miss out on this view!!

While we enjoyed the trip up to the top, was cloudy day with lower visibility. Personnel not as polite and helpful as top of empire state bldg.

The Top of the Rock does offer an exceptional bird’s eye view from the top of Manhattan. However, it is expensive for what it is and generally pretty crowded with tourists. I like that you can be outside or inside up that high. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather since it will probably be a bit windy and cooler than at street level.

Gave the Rock a try instead of the Empire State and glad I did, perfect day for viewing the whole of NYC.

For a bizarre reason have never done this on my previous visits to New York.I bought the sun and stars ticket so that I could see the skyline in the morning and then return to see the view when lit up. Amazing views from 3 different levels, a bit windy on one side but no issue. I returned just after sunset and the colours of the horizon and how the sky colour changed were breathtaking, a photographers dream. Really would recommend doing the suns and stars ticket, it's a little more than a regular ticket but well worth it. A must do.
