“Great Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2013

This really was a great location, but like with all hotels in Manhattan - they're not a cheap nights stay.
The suite was good, a little small but more than ample for us both.
Certainly close enough for my GF (who runs) to run to Central Park and back.

Parking is off-site which means an extra cost, and security is good with door personnel asking for room key or ID proof of who you are.

The food is great and the Bar is high up enough to allow great views of the busy world outside at night

All in all a very pleasurable stay

Room Tip: Higher up the better

Hello WonderingBrit,

I am so glad to hear you enjoyed our Central location, and a quick walk to central park. Thank you for noticing our 24 hour security team we want our guests to feel safe like their home away from home. We hope to see you again next year!

Great location, lovely rooms, very relaxed atmosphere in a manic city. This was a great find, check out booking sites as a good deal can be got. The room we had a queen was roomy, great facilities and the kitchenette was very useful even though we ate out a bit. Service was friendly, breakfast was nice, well got you started for the day, pretty much continental but perfect. Location excellent less than 2 minutes walk to Times Square, Fifth Avenue and Macy's if that's your cup of tea, but should do because it's New York. Reception staff very helpful and concierge very good. You will enjoy this place, it's New York and hotels can be pricey and small but this is a steal and rooms are top class and very large for shopping and site seeing weary bodies.

Room Tip: Loved the room we had which was at the front and high up, corner is worth the bit extra very spaciou...

Hello MissyGalway,

Thank you for reviewing my hotel for potential visitors. I am so happy to hear you reported back such great customer service from the front desk staff. We pride ourselves on customer service, and your kind words will be passed along. The kitchen area is great to save some money and do some in room cooking. I hope you were able to use our hotplates and do some stovetop cooking. Let me know next time you come to NYC and we will be able get you in a high room again!

Everything was perfect. Quick check in, room is big by NYC standards, view if Bryant Park from top floors, free full breakfast was outstanding in huge comfy surroundings. Elevators came quick and we were on the top floor during the marathon weekend. Convenient location to theaters without the craziness of time square. Loved it!

Room Tip: Ask for a view of Bryant Park.

I wrote a review of this property in August 2010 and have since visited another four times. It is my favorite place in NYC. I love the larger rooms and a kitchen. I am spoiled to some of the views. Free wifi is consistent and easy. Housekeeping is gracious.

The one thing I've learned is for someone wanting to explore the city, this location really can't be beat. Walking distance to Time Square and the Flatiron District. (Shake Shack and Eataly!) Trains to everywhere are sometimes only a block away, but at the most about 4.

This hotel is turning out to be a home away from home with maid service.

Room Tip: There are rooms that have a view of both the Empire State building and One World Trade center. You c...

Hello Fly_me_somewhere,

Thank you for this wonderful review about my hotel! I am thrilled to hear that you feel like this is your home away from home. This couldn’t make me be any happier that you continue returning to our property and each time is better! Shake Shack and Eataly are my favorite places in New York and they are a quick walk. We are looking forward to your next trip! See you soon!

Very nice room. Kitchen has everything except oven and stove. Dishes, full refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot. Roomy for NYC standards.
The staff is very helpful if you are needing directions or getting a cab even in the rain.
The breakfast served is standard for most hotels with free breakfast but it is so crowded I found it was not worth it.
The elevators need some fine tuning. The elevator stopped on my floor 3 times before I could get on because they were all full. New technology would help greatly. If the elevator is full, it shouldn't stop. Midweek the elevator situation got better but Sunday - Tuesday is was busy.
No room service but there are so many restaurants close that you may not miss it.

Room Tip: My travel companions had lower floors and it was noisy (construction, road noise). I was on 17 and...

Hello TX-TraveLady,

Thank you for reviewing my hotel for potential visitors. I agree the kitchen area is wonderful to have in your room, and stovetops are available for request so you know for you next visit. The elevators can get crowded at breakfast time with the complimentary breakfast on the 3rd floor. The key is getting to the breakfast early enough to beat the crowd. We hope to see you again soon in NYC!

The rooms are great. spacious and well furnished , with a kitchenette and plenty of space to work.
Location is good for business and for people watching in Times Square. Other Hotel services are basic to say the least. In New York of course there are better things to do than stay in your Hotel for long. A good choice for couples and families.

We thought the hotel was a good, clean place to stay and would stay again and recommend to our friends. The daily breakfast was decent, but if you went later in the service, they were out of many items.
