The sushi was terrific, although quite expensive. Hamachi and specialty rolls were well prepared, the service was very good with a friendly and efficient staff.

We had a sushi lunch and all the dishes were excellent. One of us had the beef short ribs which were outstanding.

This was my first time dining at Koi in Midtown NYC (Bryant Park). Went with two family members who live and work in the city. We ate in the upper tables near the sushi bar. We ordered a number of different plates and a bottle of cold sake. We had a great time and a very good meal.

The sushi and sashimi was simple but very favorable. Too many restaurants try to complicate dishes; not our experience. Try the black cod; it is a main entree that we split. Plump and perfectly done. And while it was a bad thing to do (don't need it), we ordered three deserts and glad we did.

The decor and ambiance is cool, the staff (Kaylah) was focused and engaging but not overly so. If you haven't tried it and like Asian/Japanese food -- do it. If you have tried it --do it again.

I will.

Came to this restaurant for a business dinner. That was a mistake because the noise level was so high we couldn't hear each other talk. The food was nicely prepared with a good mix of spices. The service was very quick (we were in and out in just over an hour) but was not attentive. The waiter never asked if we wanted a second glass of wine and never checked on how our dinners were.

We had a nice table not too close to the bigger groups that seemed to be everywhere- this is a busy restaurant. The food comes out when ready and is designed to share. The quality was great, we were really happy with our choices and the server was helpful. Tempura shrimp was delicious!
The décor is quirky and there is a small bar area at the entrance. A good night out.
