My wife and I came into NYC (from Orlando) for a weekend visit to see our son and not finding him home yet from work we asked his Harlem apartment roomy where we could grab a good meal on a Friday night in walking distance. He mentioned a few places then got excited when he recalled a good experience he had at the Harlem Grill -- so that's where we went. As one might expect at 9pm on a January Friday night, the place was full however we didn't wait but a minute until we were seated. We were warmly greated by the gal who seated us and the server was at our table asking for drink orders within 15 seconds. My wife was quite hungry and ordered a full rack of baby back ribs. I ordered shrimp tacos. Our meals came within 10 minutes and both were fantastic in taste and presentation. My wife made me chuckle about this particular experience because ethnically I was defineately in the minority here. However I was part of the 100% majority who found this bbq place a gem. Even the manager/owner made a point of asking me when I left did we enjoy ourselves and we replied enthusiastically - YES!
