“Pasticceria - You Can Miss This Place”
Reviewed August 10, 2011

We stopped at the new Pasticceria in the market and bought cupcakes for our grand daughter's birthday. They were VERY expensive at $4 each but looked nice and we thought that she'd like them. When we got them home that evening to celebrate, we found that they were VERY stale with a poor taste. The icing was hard. A $4 cupcake should be of better quality and fresh!

“Yo! Fuhgedaboudit! Little Italy in The Bronx rocks!”
Reviewed July 17, 2011

What little we saw we loved, but we left early because of friends who were lame. We had pizza at Ivanna's which was delicious and exactly what we expected. The manager, Frank was very friendly and gave us a couple of free t-shirts and recommended other places in the area which we did not get a chance to try. We look forward to going back and spending more time in Little Italy of the Bronx.

“Arthur Ave Retail Market and "Real Little Italy in the Bronx"”
Reviewed January 1, 2009

Visiting the Arthur Ave Retail Market and the "Belmont" section of the Bronx is a walk back in time to the 1950's and 60's in NYC.
There are about 35 "mom and pop" shops with delicious food and fantastic prices. One is more delicious than the next- cheese shops, pastry and bread shops, fresh pasta and restaurants. A great way to navigate the neighborhood is to take a food tasting tour- SusanSez NYC Walkabouts is highly recommended. While up there visit the NY Botanical Gardens and/or The Bronx Zoo
