Description: Da Marino serves traditional authentic Italian cuisine featuring Chef Massimo's Northern Italian dishes and Chef Pasquale's Southern Italian cooking. Upon entering the restaurant you feel that you are in an old Italian villa overlooking the Mediterranean through balcony windows and terrace. The restaurant was created and designed by Chef Pasquale and painted by Italian artist Davide Rodoquino. We offer live piano music every evening.

Interesting place. We used a Groupon for lunch and without it the meal would have approached $100 for two. Food is exceptionally well prepared but portions are quite small.

Thank you for your feedback! I'm happy to hear that you were able to take advantage of the Groupon and stop in for lunch. We like to think the quality and preparation of the food makes it worth the premium price, as do our fans. We hope you'd agree! Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

All the best,

We used to go here when staying in the area and could get a great old-school Italian homemade soup, bread and a glass of wine for lunch at a very reasonable price. Now it has become a tourist trap for those wandering Times Square or going to a show. Still lively with almost over the top decor (check out the women's restroom) and good service - except when you want the check. Took friends for dinner and the food was decent and servings were large, but it is overpriced - $44 for a simple pasta dish. Roasted branzino was very good, but the gnocchi was not made in house and for those prices it should be. Not a great wine list. They greet you with a glass of prosecco which is nice, but did not provide a final tab that showed the breakdown of the meal - just a total - which makes you wonder.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us on Tripadvisor. While we love our new guests, we love our frequent guests just as much! We're sorry to hear that you feel like our restaurant has become a "tourist trap"—we're still the same Da Marino with delicious food, a warm, Italian atmosphere, and a wonderful staff. Our fans don't mind paying a little more for the quality of food and atmosphere we offer, so we're sorry to hear that you were unhappy with our prices. We also appreciate your feedback on the receipt format, and encourage you to request an itemized receipt next time.

Hopefully you'll give us another opportunity to show you our authentic Italian hospitality and quality food soon.

Thanks again,
Robert Wieland

We loved everything there. We were just passing by the street and a hostess invited us to visit inside. Food and service very good. Staff helpful and friendly with kids too. Not a quiet place, but we liked the live typical music. I recomend the pasta made with chocolate!! I was surprised. It´s not a desert! A place to recomend and sure visit again.

Da Marino is a bustling, cramped, narrow, loud, typical NYC casual Italian restaurant. Food and service were very good, atmosphere a lot of fun, live music, but prices high, since it's near the theaters. Was about $200 for 1 app, 3 pastas, 1 dessert, a bottle of wine, and tip. Can recommend for a pre-theater dinner, otherwise, you'll probably do as well for cheaper elsewhere.

This little place was two doors down from where we stayed on 49th. Super friendly, loud, but fun. They greeted up with champagne (NYears Eve) and the piano and bongo players were talented.
