Description: Spigolo is an Italian-inspired restaurant on the Upper East Side of New York City. Opened in January 2005, Spigolo has gained acclaim from both devoted customers and restaurant critics. Influenced by his masterful incorporation of seasonal ingredients, Joseph D'Angelo's menu represents a culinary union of contemporary American cooking and traditional Italian cuisine. Spigolo is known as much for its warm, intimate atmosphere and its welcoming staff devoted to attentive service and genuine hospitality, as it is for its food. Come experience Spigolo for yourself.

“Gem in the neighborhood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

The food here is some of the best italian food in Manhattan period. The chef is very innovative and is constantly changing the menu per season. There is a eggplant meatball dish that is outstanding. Last fall, they did a venison ravioli with bing cherries and a port reduction; probably one of the best past dishes ever. When in NY make the trip. Reservations can be tricky.

“Not too bad....but nothing to remember”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2013

I had to think about what we had - and dinner was just a few nights ago. My daughter lives in the neighborhood, so it is convenient and somewhat romantic. Outdoor dining was lovely - it was a beautiful night - and we could walk home after a few glasses of sangria. We had the baked clams and eggplant meatballs for appies, tagliatle with crab and salmon with olives, then cheesecake and the rhubarb crumble. The crust to the crumble was the best part of the meal - I guess that says something. The rest was just, sigh.....

“Great great place!”

Food is just superb. The Burrata appetizer with truffled honey is fantastic. Service was really nice and made the night ever better.

“terrific place, small and jammed, great food, needs help with bread”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

We have eaten here twice, most recently with a young visitor. The pastas are exceptional, especially the specials, and the main courses are excellent. Do not miss the warm gingerbread pudding with cream and kumquats. They could improve the bread course, which some restaurants have brought to a fine art.
