We were lucky to win the Late Show lotto and be invited to the taping of a Monday night episode. The only negitive was the amount of time spent waiting in line; early check in to get a 'return' time, then the better part of 1 hour waiting in line for the main event. The warm up team was great and did keep us entertained while we waited to go into the storied Ed Sullivan Theater.

Enjoyed seeing the taping of a television program. Plan on committing about 4 hours to an afternoon taping. Once you get tickets, you need to come back. There is a bit of down time during taping but the Late Show band plays a lot of music.

We went online 2mos. Before arriving in New York City to apply for tickets to David Letterman show. About 2weeks before arrival The Show called and ask us a trivia question, which we answered correctly. We were given instruction of what to do once we were in New York. We did everything to the letter. We were dressed very nice and looked appropriate for television . Much to our surprise when we arrived early at the theater there were Show Crew outside the Ed Sullivan Theater asking people on the street to joint today's show. After we waited almost 3 hours in line and shuffled around from place to place we were finally seated inside. Sadly, very disappointed because we were in the very last row of the balcony where we could only see the back of T.V. Monitors . We would not be able to see David Letterman or his quest . We were very upset and left before show before it started.
We have been to several other shows with T.V. Taping and never had such an experience. Planning ahead with this show does not payoff. The people on the street had front row seating.

Randomly selected for free tickets (online registration process). Showed up the day of and my wife and I were selected to sit front row center.

The atmosphere was great, crowd was hyped, the show taping was very efficient...all entertainers were into it.

Very good experience and great to see it in the historic Ed Sullivan theater.

...and it's FREE!!!!
