Finding this place was fun and it added to the speakeasy experience. Liquor served in tea cups and beer in brown paper bags. Live music, Fun and frolics, Dancing and Cavorting. Love it!!

I brought my husband here as we were looking for a nice blues bar one evening, and we loved it.
Seems to be very touristy - particularly in the middle of the week - but the music and the drinks were excellent. Great selection of whiskey/bourbon and the waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting.
Get there early (or reserve) if you want a seat in the front, which I'd recommend! Seems better suited to couples or small groups, as it's very cosy - but they did also accommodate slightly larger groups.

We had a great time. It was more expensive than what we expected between the $20 cover, 2 drinks minimum, tips waitress and the two bands, but if you go knowing that and it is not a surprise, it is a great place. Music was amazing, and it is a small place so you are very close the the musicians. Had a great time.

Wanted to visit a blues bar when in NYC for first time and we found this place on google and so glad we did. The band ‘the pioneers’ were unbelievable. Proper blues band playing originals and covers. Every musician was amazing, special
Kudos to the organ player during one particular song, wow! Definitely gonna try and get in touch with them to see if they have any cds. The bar it’s self is a cool intimate little place and the girl behind the bar was really nice and always smiling! Top place and would definitely go back.

I am a big fan of the Blues, and this is definitely the best place for the Blues in NYC. The bar is intimate, comfortable, and has a wonderful "old school" atmosphere. The staff was accommodating and helpful, and the music was unbelievably good. They have an impressive selection of bourbons.

We stumbled upon Terra Blues after having dinner and walking towards Washington Square Park. Seeing the establishment we had a brief chat to the guy on the door who offered us a look before making up our mind.
We decided to stay and struck gold. We saw Junior Mack and Sa Ron Crenshaw who were just brilliant.
The service we received was also very good.
Looking forward to coming back to New York and will definitely return to Terra Blues

This upstairs loft with curved ceilings and ancient polished floors delivered an amazing blues experience that we thoroughly enjoyed The band played its heart out for three long sets. highly recommended
