“A Bleecker street highlight”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

Very nice live music bar! Public is generally easy going and nice. World's greatest artists have played in this bar and standards quality standards are generally high. Great place for a quick visit in the Bleecker street area.

“Fantastic place for live music”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

This is my favorite place for live music, every time I am in NY! 20 minutes per band, you can listen to some really amazing music, watch excellent performers, among which there will most likely be "the next big thing". No artist gets on this stage, unless they are truly great (although unkown).
In an evening you can go from solo guitar players to big bands, from country to rock, blues....really any kind of music with just one thing in common: they are all fantastic.
And it's beautiful to watch these young artists running after their dream...
You only pay 5 USD to enter, and then drinks; if you sit at a table, you will be quired to buy a minimum of 2 drinks per show, which sounds like a lot of drinks and money...however, I've been there many times, always sitting at a table, from 7 pm to 3 am...and I just had maybe 4 beers at the most, spending about 20 bucks.
You may also stand, and that would only cost you the 5 USD for the entrance.

“Fun, cozy place”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

Went to go see a friend perform and had a couple drinks while we were there. Even with a packed house it was a great, intimate space. Looked like they had quite the turnover of performers, with new acts setting up every hour. Definitely a cool place to go and hear a lot of different kinds of music, especially since many famous people have been through there when they were starting out. Close to lots of other bars and restaurants if you want to bounce around.

Brilliant place in Greenwich Village. $4 to see 4 bands and all of them were worth more than the admission fee on their own. Drinks bill was a lot but that was probably down to the amount we consumed ! Good atmosphere and brilliant entertainment.
Go there !!

“Great spot for music”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Had an opportunity to visit the City over the weekend and wound up at the Bitter End to hear some music. Sat through 3 sets from different bands, had great service and heard great music. Was really impressed with the last band, Preferred Stock, and will have to catch them again!
