My daughter and I stayed at the Archer last week for 3 nights/4 days. This was a trip we planned on short notice and so the only thing we had definitively planned in advance was one Broadway show. The hotel staff at the Archer deserves high honors for making this an amazing mother-daughter trip before she soon leaves for college for the first time. From Anthony, the fabulous concierge who helped book our dinner reservations and gave us tips on tours and directions, to Eric who waited on us at the amazing Fabrick restaurant in the hotel and gave us some shopping advice, to Executive Chef Aiden who introduced himself and brought us a small plate, to the front desk staff who checked us in early and gave us a fabulous room on the 17th floor with a perfect view of the Empire State building, to the front desk attendant who assisted me in needing to print something on short notice, to the bell man who literally ran down the street to grab us a taxi....everyone at the Archer demonstrates first class service. Though small, we didn't mind at all as the space in the rooms and all areas of the hotel is designed wisely and everything is impeccable. We loved the location of the hotel, away from but still very close to Times Square (without the noise and bright lights), and a quick walk to Bryant Park where we ate breakfast to start our days. We loved the Archer! We did have difficulty with the WiFi in our room, but that was a minor inconvenience that I'm certain the hotel (which was only open for 5 weeks when we were there) will work out.
