We went to watch a movie here to kill some time. The movie theatre building itself was impressive and there were many screens and many floors in the building but the actual screen we were in was quite dirty, the floor as well as the seats, and the seats were torn and just old. Compared to ones in the UK, for the price they charged, I wouldn't go here again.
Love movies but rarely go and this is why - short line if you are a gold member but if not, would have missed the movie if I'd waited for service.
Only in New York for days and wanted to see Jack Reacher - gave up here and found another cinema.
Decided to chill out and catch up on some new releases. Saw a 3D movie, a movie where the seats move to the crashes to the vibrations on the screen, and a typical theater movie. Seats are ultra-comfortable and the staff friendly. I went when it was not so busy so always had my choice of seating though sometimes it is reserved. It might be better described as a movie city with so many floors and theaters. A nice place to have when you are in between attractions or waiting for an 8 p.m. Broadway show.
This movie theatre is huge, crowded and a little unkept. They certainly try to make it organized and assign seats for your tickets which works out well because you know exactly where you are sitting.
We love going to amc and have been frequent to time square one. Obviously you don't need to specifically come for this theatre but it is a great place - I have been to this theatre in 2007, 2015-16... I love the location, it's just so full of life...
This theatre tends to get a bit loud at times, and that is its main drawback because it has great strengths. It shows all the movies you can think of, and if it is not being shown here then it is the regal across the street. The seats are pretty comfy, although I wish they had rolled out the recliners already like at other AMC theaters. The food prices are a bit more expensive than other movie theaters, which is saying a lot since they are already high and the neighborhood (Times Square) is too congested. Once you're in you can tune all of that out though, if the theater isn't too noisy.
