“friendly place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2014

we visited here for lunch after walking around for a while this took our fancy. The lady (sorry forgot her name) who served us was super friendly and chatty. The food was delish. It was fairly quiet but I can see it being a hive of activiity in the evening. I wouldn't hesitate in going back if we were nearby again. Don't forget to pick up your bumper sticker on the way out

“Great wee gem!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2013

This was near to our apartment so we gave it a go. Nothing fancy but very reasonable prices and good solid tex mex restaurant. Slightly marred by being served drinks in plastic cups! Check out the full sized bus that doubles up as a bar

“Urban Honky Tonk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 22, 2013

This is the place to go for paralyzing happy hour margaritas (on the rocks) and brain-freeze worthy frozen ones. And, free chips! Thin and salty tortilla chips with a zippy salsa arrive at your table moments after you are seated.
There is a nice hum and neon buzz to the bar--lots of locals gather here (on a Thursday night) and I was disappointed to arrive already full. The menu has all the Mex classics and...drum roll, blackened catfish tacos. I'd return for those and a rock-salt heavy marg. If you are with a pack of friends, saddling up to this place for laughs, booze and salty snacks, there is a solid guarantee of a good time.

“Free Live Music in the Middle of Manhattan”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2013

I went back to Rodeo for the first time in almost a year and had forgotten how cool a place it is. Where else can you see live music every night with no cover charge? The band that night was great. The food was surprisingly good, the vibe was right on and the staff unpretentious but attentive. I felt like I was back in Austin.

“Great Music, lots of food, great atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2013

We had a great evening this week at the Rodeo Bar, 375 3rd Ave New York, NY 10016. Wonderful band, Chuck Mead and the Grassy Knoll Boys, great food, good atmosphere. Highly recommended if you want to catch a bit of Nashville while in New York!
