Liked the ambience here. Ordered the medallions of filet steak. Like my steak really well done and had to send it back as it was red/pink inside but when it came back it was lovely. Good sized portions. Attentive service.

“Related to Joe Namath?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013

Still working on the joe namath name, or not ? ... rightly or not. Our dining couple insisted we dine here after touring restuarant row. The name made their choice... however the overall experience was OK.. Dessert was a delightful bonus.

“Give it a go”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

We had not read the earlier reviews - if we had done so we would not have gone to Broadway Joes.

However, we are pleased we did give it a go. We went for the fixed menu and this was delicious. Our steak was beautifully cooked and the desert was lovely.

Service was excellent - our waiter was from Florida so we didn't have the language problems other reviewers have encountered. He made a point of giving us plenty of time so perhaps the management have taken note of previous Trip Advisor reviews.

I suggest you give Broadway Joes a chance - hopefully your experience will be good like ours.

“'Give It A Miss'”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013

I suppose the fact that all nearby restaurants were bursting at the seams and this one wasn't should have given us a clue - but we really fancied a steak, there were spaces, so we went in to sample their fixed price menu.
The starter was the worst Caesar Salad ever with brownish lettuce, soft croutons and a distinct lack of dressing.
The sirloin steaks, it must be said, were tasty but they seemed surprised we should want fries with them. They came on a separate plate and were soft and soggy. My wife had broccoli (poorly drained) and carrots served with her steak - what culinary genius thought that one up!
The dessert, New York Cheesecake, was quite tasty but had a suspicious uniformity about it which suggested 'not made on these premises.'
It was like eating in a goldfish bowl, staff outnumbering diners and they stood around and watched us. One waiter's sole job was to ensure our water glasses were filled. This was done solicitously after almost every sip!
On our departure we were amused by the huge poster pinned to the wall outlining procedures for dealing with choking and hoped that this wasn't a common occurrence at Broadway Joe's!
Go over the road to Joe Allen's for authentic New York food and save money into the bargain!
