Owner description: The first and most famous studio tour in television history is now better than ever. It's more in depth. More interactive. And, above all, more fun. You’ll enjoy behind-the-scenes access to the studios where your favorite shows are made. Like Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers and more. An NBC Page will serve as your host and behind-the-scenes expert, guiding you through the historic halls of 30 Rock. You’ll learn about the entire TV production process, from the writing process and producing to the ways TV content gets to your home. You’ll then experience it all first hand as you and your fellow Tour guests produce your own show in our brand new Tour Studio. You can then download your show to keep for free.

We had Ben for our guide ,who by the end of the tour I was calling 'Ben Lauer' because I'm pretty sure he's gunnin' for Matt's chair! He was a really nice young guy who has a few wise cracks that are cute. I asked him if he writes his own material and he said "hmmm about half" so kudos to whoever writes the other 'half'. You get an inside look at how small Dr Oz's set is and the Today show set. They really are all squished in there! But the whole tour was quite interesting and Ben was fun!

I didn't realize how small the SNL set was! You would think they have many stages to get all the skits done, but they really have just a few small stages. Amazing how they get all that done in the space they have. We also got to visit the Jimmy Fallon set. Well worth the $24 ticket price. Tour takes about an hour.

The tour overall was great. The NBC Pages were very friendly and informative. We got to see the SNL studio and it was so cool to see where all their skits take place. The only thing I didn't like was there were 30 people on the tour and each time we had to go in the elevator we had to cram 16 people into each elevator car.

The cost of this tour $24.00 was a bit steep for what was offered. The NBC pages who were our guides acted as though this was the least favorite part of their jobs. We had two for our large group of 30. We first saw a video of the history of NBC, which I found interesting and well done. It was fun to see the SNL studio. Though it was Monday and it was empty, it was still a thrill to be there. We could only see studio's not in use, so we saw the NBC news studio, and Dr. Oz. The last section where they took us to a room to watch a video about make-up was less interesting. As was the part where volunteer tour members acted as news and weather people. I am sure it was fun for the two of them, and less so for the rest of us. We also saw a quick look at the control room.

The tour guides had their minds elsewhere during our tour. I had a much better experience in 2010. During the tour, we saw the Dr. Oz set, SNL set*, and the NBC Today show set. The tour is $24 each and about 1.5 hours long.

*SNL set was blocked by curtains because they rehearse Thurs-Friday, so try to visit another day. Sad we didn't get to see it.
