“Best Evening of the holiday”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2013

We visited New York at the end of a great American holiday. Looking for a jazz experience, we were recommended Birdland. The evenng we had there was the best of the holiday. The evening was all about the music (which was good as the food was average). Great musicians, really enjoyng themselves and playing some great jazz. A really memorable time and one our whole group will cherish.

“Jazz venue for listeners”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

Birdland is serious about their "quiet policy" reminding patrons verbally and by signs to respect the musicians. We have been regulars at Birdland for over 13 years and have always enjoyed listening to the best musicians without any interfering chatter.

The quality of the performers is top rank. The best of the best. Staff are especially courteous.

Definitely the place to go for people who want to listen to great music. I would especially recommend it to visitors to NYC as one of the places to pit on their itinerary.

“Jazz Heart of NYC”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2013

Recommended to this historic landmark in NY's jazz journey located midtown Manhattan-- easy to find and very friendly with great atmosphere, not to mention the music! Intimate stage surrounded by small tables , cover charge plus expected first drink. Iconic cocktails plus food , best value is Sunday night jazz showcase featuring ever-changing selection of up-and-coming musicians with established names. Check online for programme and special events!

“Wow! Do not miss out on a night of jazz...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013

Even if you are not a jazz fan, just go and enjoy a show. This place offers the real deal. I got a full big band and was blown away, even though I have never been fond of jazz music. For $30 incl. a drink of your choice.....just do it!

“Last minute music choice.....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2013

My husband and I stopped in, hoping to hear some jazz on Sunday evening around 10:30pm, and a show was staring at 11pm, so we paid and stayed. The price for the show was $30/person with a drink minimum, so it was kinda pricey for a Sunday show @ 11pm!

While the band was Big Band sound, it was an Argentinian leader, so we didn't know any of the songs - they were very talented, but just not what we wanted to hear - would have liked a more traditional jazz show. No reflection on the club itself, we will return, but this was just OK.
