Had such a great meal there we went back a second night! Really friendly staff, great food with a piano playing in the background.

I loved this place. The veal parm is tops, The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I have had Italian in several places in NYC. This was just perfect. I am not sure why others had issues. I can tell you that this little find is golden!

The food was traditional southern italian. The piano bar and entertainment added to the already cosy atmosphere complete with red checkered table cloths. The portions are big and the bread is fantastic. I had manicotti which was exactly how i like it cheesy! The meatballs ere fantastic too!

Went out looking for some good Italian food in Turtle Bay Area and were drawn into MiMi's by the sound of piano music. Unfortunately that was the only good thing about the place. While charging for refills on drinks is common in NY, this place charged $3 per glass for bad instant iced tea. At least if you charge per glass then serve real tea. We ordered mozzarella sticks for our appetizer and when they arrived they were still frozen in the middle, obviously right out of the freezer. We sent them back but when the waiter brought the ticket at the end he made a big deal about being nice enough to take tem off our bill. Chicken Parmesan was OK but definitely not worth coming back for. We were so disappointed with the first 2 courses that we didn't even want to try dessert. If looking for good Italian in this part of town then keep walking.

I have been going to Mimi's for 12 years when ever I am visiting New York. Never a disappointment. Sometimes when you rave about a restaurant and bring friends to share it with them there can be such a downside when the establishment just does not live up to your bragging.
But Mimi's has always been fabulous with superb Italian dishes to satisfy everyone. Evenings there is a piano player that adds to the fun and charm of the place. Enjoy.
