“A very interesting restaurant in Manhattan”
Reviewed June 21, 2013 via mobile

I visited Manhattan plenty times but never eating here. This is a very interesting restaurant located in the sixth floor of the Bloomingdale , there's a need for guidance to find this restaurant, but when you arrive to this restaurant you find something very unique one. The restaurant is arranged as a train .the service was excellent the food was good and price is fare for NY. Excellent for business meals.

“classic brunch”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

As we were wandering around 3rd Avenue trying to find a place for brunch on Sunday morning, I pulled out my trip advisor app and found this restaurant. We realized it was in Bloomingdales- we had wanted a more street cafe experience but decided to try it because we were tired of looking for a place to go. As we walked in, we realized we were the only patrons, and almost left but decided to give it a shot and I am glad we stayed. Our waitress was Virginia who was a hoot and made the experience truly memorable. She made great Bloody Marys- which she called 'bombs'- and thanks to her it is a brunch I will remember for a very long time. The food was good, the frittata and steak and eggs were very nicely done. The environment is unique- it is designed after an old dining train car sitting on the top of the store. Overall, a great place to catch lunch or brunch if you are in the area.

“Pleasant surprise”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

Stumbled across this place after we couldn’t get a table at another of the restaurants in Bloomingdales. Both food and service were very good. Quite expensive when taken at face value but probably not excessive given location and portion sizes.Best restaurant visited dyribg our trip to NYC.

“Decades later, still a special experience.”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

Having eaten here alone decades ago and not since, it was a pleasant surprise to find this restaurant in Bloomingdales still existed and getting to share it with my partner of 30 years.
Loved our very efficient and loquacious server who had been working there almost as long as the restaurant has been open.
The menu is dated in the best possible way. Had terrific veal and Bill had a salade Nicoise which he said was the prettiest he's had anywhere including Paris.
The clientele is very "ladys who lunch" which we also loved because I guess some people would say we fall into that category so we felt right at home.
It's also a great retreat from the bustle of noise of the city. This and the Frick.
