Found this place by walking by. We were looking for a pub in the Theater district, and boy were we happy we found this place. Nice staff, were seated right away and had a couple of drinks and appetizers. Nice bar, and the place was clean and roomy. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Good food and fast service. See if you can get a booth upstairs when you make reservations. Great burgers. Shepard's pie is so-so. Lots of beer on tap.

If you want a good meal, avoid this place. Party of 3 was seated quickly upstairs. We were there on the early side after a matinee. The decor is very tired and the place could benefit from some deep cleaning. Menu is mainly pub food so we played it safe and passed on the steak and dinner dishes. We took a while to decide after ordering beverages, so we ended up with a server who was a little less surly than the first one. Even so, the replacement was abrupt - maybe he wasn't confident of his command of English? Lobster bisque with crab had an odd bright orange color and didn't taste like lobster at all. The crab looked like shreds of the cheap canned crab. The burger was okay. The fish in the fish and chips dish was a small, soggy portion. The fries were the tasteless food service kind. The chicken pot pie was comical. It consisted of a shallow oval dish with pieces of chicken, celery, carrots, and peas in a watery, cream and tarragon soup. Balanced precariously on top was a square of puff pastry which had been baked on a separate sheet (the underside was burnt). Very disappointing given the ratings I'd seen. My neighborhood diners in the Fort Lauderdale suburbs are way better.

The service was quick and friendly.
Prices very fair and everything tasted good.
Could tell that it is a "Norm" bar for a lot of people
Manager and staff greeted plenty of people by their first name --- nice touch for NY.

Sat in one of the booths on the 2nd floor. Was a very nice meal. Prices were reasonable. No refills on soda though. Very nice establishment.
