“John would probably be turning in his grave”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2013

So we went here on a busy Sunday afternoon. I have always been a great John Lennon fan, and was actually around when he was. I knew where the place was by the crowd of people gathered around the mosaic. Young Japanese tourists were having there photos taken STANDING ON THE MOSAIC! Sacrilege! The surrounding area was a bit tacky: a guy strumming Lennon songs and someone else selling trinkets. As others have said, it's not much to write home about. A statue of the great man would have been preferable, with a small museum perhaps. Next we went across to the Dakota Building. That poor doorman must get fed up with the constant stream of tourists having their photo taken where the dastardly deed was carried out.

“Impressive because of the guitar player and the visitors.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

The memorial itself is nothing much, just a mosaic on a park road with benches around it. There was a guitar player on one of those benches playing Beatles Songs. People visiting this place are behaving as on a grave yard out of respect. The atmosphere of the place was what made it impressive for me.

Worth a quick visit for any Beatles fan.
Quiet area of the park.
This is just a small memorable on the floor – don’t expect too much.

“Not what i was expecting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2013

Very nice to look at but i've probably missed something as all it looked like was a decorative patio with the words imagine on it.As i saw it in February i would think when the plants and flowers are in full bloom it'll look a lot better.

“A must see for beatles or John Lennon fans”

Have never been here when there wasn't a flower memorial. A gift from John & Yoko to share their favorite respite from the City with the rest of us.
