Very atmospheric pub which was packed when we went. Range of beers really good and service good too. Had food whilst we were there which was quite bland. Absolutely brilliant place for a drink but I think I'll leave the food next time.

If you are in lower Manhattan this is a great place to pop in for a beer. A lively crowd frequents the Ear Inn, with a good selection of drinks. For those who want a bit more, food is available at a very reasonable price. The staff are really friendly and eager to talk if you are from out of town. The night we visited there was live music although it didn't start until after midnight.

Went here for the first time today and really liked it. Had the grilled ham and cheese sandwich with home fries and small salad. Everything was excellent and prices are good too.
Service could've been a little quicker. The restaurant was not busy and we had to flag down the waitress for drink refills and the check. Otherwise, the story of the building is an interesting one, going way back to Revolutionary War times.

It was a late night - and Ear just seemed like a good idea. It is a cross between Brooklyn Social and a hearty english pub. There didn't seem to be any rules about where the tables were moved or what wait staff you asked for drinks; they were all helpful and interested in you having a good time. It is quite crunched at the front. It would be fun to have a spot at the bar, but standing at the bar is really not that nice. The tables nearby are great - and the tables at the back can be moved any which way you want. The back tables are probably better when you are part of a group as they are a little bit (just a little) removed. The prices reasonable, the beer cold and service great - I would recommend Ear any evening.

Went here on a recommendation from a friend and boy was it worth it. If you want good eats at a reasonable price (mussels were superb) a good selection of beers on tap, great atmosphere and some hot hot jazz, then this is the place for you!!!! For the Sunday night jazz session, get there early 6.30/ 7pm for food and get a seat in the front room so as you can see the band who were top class. Staff are really friendly and attentive also.

Best night we had in New York !!!!!
