This is a dessert place that sells sandwiches, salads and pizza. My husband and I live in NYC and thought we'd try it one day while out walking. We ordered the salad with griled chicken and the margherita pizza. It was a total disappoinment. The chicken was tasteless and the pizza was terrible. We thought it was frozen pizza and when we asked the waitress she said "yes, its frozen, we don't make it here". I feel really bad for tourists who get sucked into these traps. I wouldn't even get a dessert here.

I first encountered this little gem of a cafe 6 years ago with my girlfriend - we returned last week newly-married, on our honeymoon. You have to wonder why there is any need for main courses when desserts are as good as this - the cannoli is celebrated by none other than Al Pacino, and wash it down with a great wine selection and you have the makings of a good evening. You might as well just ask for your favourite dessert and take the chance they DON'T have it, such is the amazing selection. The atmosphere was buzzing as we were there - no spare tables to be had - the NY Giants going into overtime and getting to the Superbowl with a winning field goal - as I took the last mouthful of my amazing chocolate truffle gateau. Next trip to NYC, we'll just head to Palermo and forget about an evening meal. Take the chance on this place, on Mulberry Street in Little Italy.

This is a little cafe in Little Italy. We stopped by after dinner for desert while we were up in NYC over new years. They serve mainly coffee drinks and deserts. I had a cannoli which was excellent and my wife had dark chocolate cake which was good as well. This place was really busy so sometimes their may be a wait. There is a small menu, but they had many things not listed on the menu so if there is something you want, maybe just ask the waitress. They also have bakery style display units showing off all the desserts. The coffee here was excellent!
