I love Lebanese food and just walked into the Byblos off the street. The food is delicious.

We started with mezze (appetizers: homos bi tahini, baba ghanouj and taboule). We could have eaten different appetizers all night, they were so good.

This was followed by kebbe in hot yoghurt (a chef's specialty) and shish tavouk (marinated grilled chicken), along with a very nice bottle of Chateau Ksara (Lebanese) wine. The kebbe dish was lemony and tangy - really a good combination. The shish tavouk was good, as well.

It's a fairly large menu so explore and try different things.

The atmosphere isn't great, but it is very clean and spacious and you're there to eat, so enjoy the very authentic cooking.

The service was quick, efficient.

After a long day at a conference, I walked into Byblos merely because it abutted my hotel. Once seated, I was blown away by the service and the food and would recommend it to anyone looking for great Lebanese food in New York. And, by the way, I've never seen so many beautiful women in one place before in my life.

We were new to the Lebanese cuisine, but liked the generous dishes served in the restaurant. The staff were very efficient and the ambience was quiet and relaxing. And a wine from Lebanon was a nice new experience.

Great lunch spot if you are in the neighborhood, the service was prompt and the food was really flavorful. The prices are pretty good for Manhattan.

Great traditional Lebanese food. Not crowded, great service. Prices were typical of NYC. Not a great wine selection but there for the food.
