Great traditional Lebanese food. Not crowded, great service. Prices were typical of NYC. Not a great wine selection but there for the food.

It was very upsetting when this restaurant's previous location on 39th St (for 30 years) burned down a few years ago. It was THE place in Manhattan for excellent family-style Lebanese food. Indeed Lebanese friends of mine told me that it was the only place they knew in New York that offered the real thing. I was happy to recently discover its new beautiful and spacious incarnation on Madison and 28th St. The owner told me that when the fire hit he lost all of his customer lists. So I had not heard that he had reopened. But I am so glad he did! And the food is better than ever and the prices reasonable. Try all the mezes, the fattousch salad and kebabs. And the Massaya wines by the glass are a revelation!

This is my first visit to their new location on Madison Avenue and it wa really enjoyeable...
Clean relaxing and quiet decor, the food was really tasty and healthy. Grilled mchicken and meat were perfectly cooked, as well as all the traditional "mezzes" that have become so popular.
I recommend highly, especially for all those who have tried Ilili, the much trendier, costlier and more expensive alternative
