I had gone to this diner a year ago when visiting the Guggenheim Museum and I remember remarking to the people I was with how good a diner it is. So when my daughter and her friend and I were visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art by chance I found this restaurant again. This is a busy place but we only waited a few minutes for a table. The service is great and the waiters have nothing but smiles for you. The food came out quick and deliciouse. This is a great place and affordable for Manhattan. A must do alternative if you don't want to eat from a truck outside of the museum

Went here for breakfast before going to the Metropolitan Musem of Art. The museum is located a couple minutes of walking from the restaurant.
The restaurant isn't very big, but the vibe here is great! The staff is super friendly. Food is really good! Great place for breakfast/lunch.

We returned to this narrow storefront diner type restaurant recently. The seating is tight and well worn. As in the past the food was generally good with generous portions and very warm and welcoming service. We were on our way to visit the nearby Metropolitan Museum of Art and this has been a good place in the past. We had two grandchildren with us. There were two disappointments - the prices were much higher than they had been in the past and there is no children's menu. After some discussion the server agreed to bring a half portion of pasta for approximately 75% of the menu price for the seven year old. This helped but still was more costly than was justified by the dish. Because the prices are now approximately the same as fancier local restaurants I am not sure we will return there next time but we may try other spots in this busy neighborhood.
