So, my boyfriend and I walked by this restaurant and saw the sign for Happy Hour and thought that it would be a nice place to stop and have a drink at before boarding our bus back to Boston. I ordered steamed clams, a Greek salad to-go, and an apple martini. The waitress didn't even know that the clams had a red sauce or white garlic sauce option and was baffled when I asked for white garlic sauce (listed right underneath the appetizer itself). I was enjoying my martini until I took a closer look at it and saw little pieces of dust floating around (ewww). Then it took half an hr for my steamed clams to arrive. They looked very overcooked and were cold. My "Greek salad" eventually came about 40 minutes later, BUT luckily I looked inside, because the waitress gave me a Caesar salad instead. When I told her she gave me the wrong salad, she INSISTED that I was wrong. Then, it took about another 20 minutes for my "correct" salad to come, but by that time we had to SPRINT to the bus stop. I took a look at the salad when I sat down on the bus...my dressing was WRONG.

Overall, I'm very disappointed with the service and especially the lengthy amount of time it took to throw together a salad. Really, it shouldn't take that long to prepare such simple meals when especially the restaurant was dead empty.

My husband and I recently returned from a visit to NY and selected Jimmy's Coffee Shop for breakfast. We were immediately seated but that is where the fast service ended. It took forever for the waitress to take our order and then quite a long time for our breakfast to be delievered. The french toast that we ordered was only so-so and not even very hot. We did not want to say anything as we were hungry and did not have to wait who knows how long to have it reheated. Then to get our check was another lengthy ordeal. With so many other good places to eat in Manhattan, Jimmy's coffee shop is not one which we could recommend.
