big disconnect in the restaurant, Italian menu, Spanish wines, no Amarone, Brunello etc.

Cheesy italian waiters though which add to the ambience!

We had a delicious dinner here the other night - can definitely recommend the mussels, the mushroom ravioli, the veal parmesan, and the apple tart.

I liked the quiet atmosphere at lunch, but food, coffee, etc. so-so. Service slow even though restaurant not busy.

Grew up in Italian household in NJ. After living in SC for several years just wanted your basic
Neighborhood Italian Restaurant. The bread basket had a small piece of Italian bread, some stale toast & a small piece of white bread. No olive oil for dunking. My veal scallopine was to be served with mashed potatoes & veggies? The waiter seemed amazed when I asked to substitute linguine for the potatoes.
They brought out decent veal , very lemony, not served over linguine but served as a side, covered in a red sauce! Not a good mix of flavors colliding on my plate! They forgot my veggie & no spoon for eating the pasta or an offer of grated cheese.
The owner was too busy to smile or really notice his "Guests". No one was wall worthy to have their photo taken with him for his wall of celebs-all very long ago.
It met the need for nourishment after a long day of travel. However if you want a good Itian meal for your dollar, look somewhere else.

Just finished dinner with the family (including 4 children under 10). Really yummy family Italian food. I highly recommend the clams with linguine.
